Monday – Get The Word Out
  • Change your social media pictures to the SPAW Logo
  • Social media posts with post card messages to post on Facebook and Twitter.  Chose one to post on Monday, or post them throughout the week.

  • Post or share the poster in your building.  You can add it to your email signature, for example.
  • Send a letter to the editor of your local paper highlighting the work that School Psychologists do.  You could also use this to submit to a newsletter in your school or district highlighting the work we do. Here is a template letter to the editor to get you started!
  • Resources to share with your staff about the profession
  • You can create a fun personal activity in your buildings with a Daily Fun Quiz  “do you know your school psych?”  Offer a small prize for those who get most right on Friday, or candy for all those who participate each day.

Tuesday – Student Interaction

  • Make it interactive. Print the gaming keylock, and/or character templates for students to write down a keyword, their password to help direct us towards positive change, and contribute to the classroom or school community. Pin the keylock, and/or character on the wall to create a display of steps contributing to a positive school community. Have students discuss how all of the positive behaviors and actions help to create positive changes and connect with each other. You can also create keys and locks with words on them and put them in an envelope taped to the wall next to the poster along with a large poster board or sheet of paper. Students can pick an action they have taken that week or one that they have seen someone else do and tape it to the blank sheet.
  • “Take What You Need" Flier/Poster/Bulletin Board
  • Choose something from the "50 Things You Can Do Right Now to Support Students’ Mental Health and Wellness" shared at the fall conference
  • Organize a "Random Acts of Kindness" activity for staff that focus on the "unlock your potential" key words (imagine, encourage, connect, practice, learn, and contribute)
